Face, Hair, Makeup, Accessories & Product-Focused Imagery

This 4-session studio workshop is designed to help you master beauty-focused photography, with a clear emphasis on the face, hair, makeup, accessories, and products that rely on facial presence.

In the first session, you will attend an in-depth lecture and live demonstration, where you’ll learn how to:

• Shape light for close-up and beauty portraits

• Highlight facial features, hair, and makeup with precision

• Work with stylists, makeup artists, and hair professionals

• Visually integrate accessories or products that need a strong facial focus

The next three sessions are fully hands-on in the studio. Under the close guidance of experienced photographer Maya Kanakry, you will:

• Practice different beauty and close-up lighting setups

• Refine posing and expression for face-focused imagery

• Learn how to create clean, editorial-style visuals suitable for portfolios, campaigns, or social media

To make the most of the practical sessions, you are gently encouraged to arrange the person you would like to photograph during the studio shoots.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll gain confidence in directing, lighting, and capturing powerful beauty images that place the face and everything around it, at the center of your visual story.
