Art of Photography

Art of Photography invites you to explore how photography began, how it evolved, and how generations of photographers transformed it into a powerful artistic and cultural medium. You will travel through key historical moments, discover the masters who shaped photographic language, and understand how their vision continues to influence the images we create today. 

Through this journey, you learn to observe, analyze, and interpret photographs with greater depth. You explore the different axes of creative photography: documentary, artistic, conceptual, portrait, fashion, landscape, and more.

You will recognize what resonates with your own intuition, emotions, and personal artistic sensitivity.

As you move through the course, you start to shape your eye, discover your creative preferences, and understand how photography mirrors both the world around you and the world within you. You build a rich foundation that strengthens your artistic awareness and prepares you to develop your own vision.

By the end of this course, you will have:

• A clear understanding of photography’s origins and evolution

• Knowledge of master photographers and the visual languages they created

• A deeper appreciation for artistic styles, genres, and intentions

• An emerging sense of your own direction and creative identity

This course is the official preparation for the next level at FAPA: Yearly Fine Art Photography Project

Prerequisite: None (open to all photography levels).
